So at 10 months I am expecting that I have seen all of the new growth appearing as changes from 8 months to now has been subtle. I still have shorter hairs that are waiting to catch up with the rest and that will happen over the next few months. Once noticeable thing is that my hair is curling up again, this is quite common in this stage of the growth whilst the hair matures I expect it to settle down at around the 18 month stage. So without further delay here are the 10 month photos.  ...

I decided to put together a month by month timeline to show the progress of my last hair transplant with Dr Hasson so you would get an idea of how the hair improves month by month. Taking consistent photos at the same angle, room and lighting is so important to be able to compare accurately the difference....

My 9 Month Update from my latest hair transplant from Dr Hasson

Better late than never here is my 9 month photos from my latest hair transplant with Dr Hasson for 1755 grafts to the frontal half of my scalp. The difference is clear to myself as I look in the mirror and I am very glad that I took Dr Hasson’s advice to deal with the front rather than the crown. In terms of healing my scalp after five FUT sessions feels perfectly normal and I am still able to cut my hair to a reasonable length. I could never go down to a grade 3 or 4 because of my previous scars but I am happy with the length I can wear it at the back and sides.   There still...

My 8 Month Update from my latest Hair Transplant 1755 Grafts Dr Hasson

Posted by on Jun 11, 2014 in Hair Transplant Blog UK, Hair Transplant Repair Diary, My Hair Transplant Updates | 0 comments

So 8 months have arrived and after a haircut yesterday I thought I would update with a slightly new hairstyle. All is back to normal in terms of numbness despite this being the fifth time I have undergone FUT hair transplant.   The density in the front has made a noticeable difference in how my hair looks normally and under stronger lighting with the scalp not being so visible now under spotlighting and sunlight. One thing that I have noticed is that after playing sport as I sweat a lot my hair used to get soaked through and look like I had come out the shower each time. Now I have more...

My 7 Month Hair Transplant Results Dr Hasson 1755 Grafts

Posted by on May 12, 2014 in Hair Transplant Blog UK, Hair Transplant Repair Diary, My Hair Transplant Updates | 0 comments

So we have reached the 7 month stage and the hairline and front continues to get thicker. I can still feel a little bit of stubble coming through and some of the new hairs are still quite short and wispy. I will try some new hair styles once I get to the full one year mark but for now my hair seems to naturally want to fall over to this side despite wearing it back for many years. Everything has now has recovered in terms of the scar healing and the feeling at the back of my head above the scar has returned fully.    ...

5 Month update on my personal hair transplant

Posted by on Mar 10, 2014 in Hair Transplant Blog UK, Hair Transplant Repair Diary, My Hair Transplant Updates | 0 comments

So five months is here today and my observations from the 4 month point until now is that the growth is coming through as expected and I can still feel lots of stubble throughout the frontal area.In terms of numbness my scalp above the scar is now 75% back to how it should feel. The scar itself has healed very well and the small amount of shock loss that I suffered around the temple area of the scar has returned. My hair is a little longer than the previous month but I am feeling that the density at the front will allow me to try some different styles when I reach the year mark....

My 4 Month Update on my surgery with Dr Hasson

Posted by on Feb 12, 2014 in Hair Transplant Blog UK, Hair Transplant Repair Diary, My Hair Transplant Updates | 0 comments

So here we are at the 4 month mark. My hair is longer than the 3 month update that I posted so it is difficult to assess in person let alone from the photos but this is just the start I have lots of stubble around the hairline and frontal area that I can feel with my fingertips. The back of my scalp above the scar is still feeling partially numb although more feeling returns here. I had a little shock loss around the scar which is growing back as I can feel some stubble around that area too. I think the biggest noticeable difference is my lack of anxiety this time round compared to 2006 when...

My 3 Month Update On My Hair Transplant with Dr Hasson

Posted by on Jan 16, 2014 in Hair Transplant Blog UK, Hair Transplant Repair Diary, My Hair Transplant Updates | 0 comments

So here are the 3 month photos after a haircut, what has been happened since month 2-3? hmmm not a great deal hair wise. The hair is growing and I would say that I am in a slightly better position than I was pre op considering I am wearing my hair shorter than before the surgery. I can however feel stubble throughout the recipient area which is a great sign of new early growth. The donor area has recovered a little, of the small amount of shock loss that I suffered around the scar line and I can feel some stubble still around here too. The numbness continues above the scar but is improving...

Surgery Day

Posted by on Nov 14, 2013 in Hair Transplant Blog UK, Hair Transplant Repair Diary, My Hair Transplant Updates | 0 comments

On October 10th 2013 I had my 2nd transplant with Dr Hasson for 1755 grafts to the frontal third of my scalp. To recap I had 3 old style transplants in 1996/7 and 1998 for around 450 grafts each time, the first one at the age of 23, the result was 3 wide scars and a pluggy unnatural hairline which was initially covered by my native hair. I had very aggressive hair loss and progression to a Norwood 6 pattern, I was not taking any medication or using Rogaine partly because in the early stages neither were available in the UK and I was put off using Propecia by a hair Trichologist. After...

Day 1-3 Recovery

Posted by on Nov 14, 2013 in Hair Transplant Blog UK, Hair Transplant Repair Diary, My Hair Transplant Updates | 0 comments

Day 1 – Friday Not the greatest night’s sleep I have had and there was some blood on the pillow cover in the morning thankfully I had used the protector so I could remove it and place it in my draw as to not scare the cleaner later. I had breakfast and then took the Cipro (antibiotics) which you need to take one twice and day for 4 days. My advice to take these after eating as they are quite strong as I felt a little nausea and light headed which was also a combination of jet lag and lack of sleep so take it easy the following day after surgery as unless you are able to sleep very well...
